ABC’s of Air Conditioning
This is an introduction to air conditioning for non-technical
personnel. Topics covered include human comfort, the basic refrigeration
cycle, and HVAC equipment. It’s a good opportunity for
your support staff to learn a bit of the technical side of HVAC.
Economizers
Sequence of operation, installation and troubleshooting for
Carrier, MicroMetl, and Johnson economizers. Minimum 3-5 years
of field experience recommended.
Infinity Control
This class includes familiarization, installation, wiring,
and programming of both single zone and zoning versions of
the new Infinity control system.
Rooftops
Familiarization, installation, sequence of operation, Carrier
control board operation and troubleshooting. Also includes
an introduction to carbon-dioxide sensors for rooftop units
and stand alone systems. Minimum 3-5 years field experience
recommended.
Warranty Administration
Familiarization with procedures for initiating warranty claims
to insure quick processing and payment. Includes an introduction
to Carrier’s on-line warranty processing system.
90% Furnaces, MXA-MVP-MTA
Course covers equipment familiarization, installation, sequence
of operation, common service problems and fixes. It includes
measurement of differential pressure across heat exchanger
and vent sizing. Minimum 1 year field experience recommended.
Chillers 30RB/GTN/RAN
Installation, Start-up, Controls and Service
Carrier Home Standby Generators
Installation, maintenance and service training. This course
is required for generator sales and installation.
Heat Pumps
This class will cover theory, operation, installation and
service on the new generation of Carrier air-to-air heat pumps.
Note: These courses are not a replacement for vocational
school training.
